Ajax u19’s beat Hammarby 4-0 in Sweden as they got their UEFA Youth League campaign off to a great start.

With Kaj Sierhuis and Che Nunnely in the starting line-up, Ajax were frustrated in the first half as they failed to find the net.

However, six minutes into the second half,┬áJurgen Ekkelenkamp broke the deadlock, firing in on the rebound after Nunnely’s initial effort was saved. Two minutes later, Ekkelenkamp doubled the scoreline with a fine lob over the Hammarby keeper from close range.

Nunnely added the third with a fine solo run and finish into the top corner before 15-year-old Ryan Gravenberch netted a fourth on his UEFA Youth League debut.

A perfect start in the competition for John Heitinga’s boys.
