Ajax’s U19’s earned a 1-1 draw against Chelsea to keep them second in their UEFA Youth League group.

After two wins out of two, Johnny Heitinga’s side, that is missing several players due to the U17 World Cup, lost 1-0 to Chelsea in Amsterdam two weeks ago.

The same players were still missing on Tuesday in London, but Brian Brobbey is fit again and started up front.

The striker could only watch on as Chelsea took the lead after half an hour as George McEachran found the net with a free-kick. Brobbey then missed an excellent chance to equalise before the break.

Minutes into the second half, Ajax were level though when Terrence Douglas steamed forward before firing an unstoppable strike into the top corner.

Neither side could find a winner before the end, meaning Ajax now move onto seven points and are second in the table behind Lille.
