Ajax coach Peter Bosz confirmed the news to his press conference on Wednesday, “Bazoer is not in tomorrow’s selection. He got injured on Saturday in training and was ill on Sunday. Monday he was back to normal training with the group, but that does not work for me. I wished that he would first report to the doctor and would work separately, but that he did not like. ”
The Bazoer incident follows on from issues with Anwar El Ghazi and Nemanja Gudelj, who have now been banished to the Jong Ajax squad after incidents off the pitch.
However, Bosz confirmed that Bazoer will return to the first team squad, “I’ve already spoken to him and he has apologised. Starting Friday he is back in the group.”
Bazoer is set to leave Ajax in January after falling out of favour in Amsterdam, with Barcelona one of the clubs linked to the 20-year-old.
