Utrecht goes into the winter break confident after sealing a 4-0 victory over a sorry Volendam on Saturday afternoon.

Volendam went into the game with only six points and Henk Veerman was only on the bench, while Robert Muhren was out. Young striker Lequincio Zeefuik began up front.

After only14 minutes, Utrecht had the lead as Taylor Booth netted on the rebound after Bas Dost had been denied.

After the early goal, neither side really came close to scoring until the 75th minute when Dost headed in a second. Sander van de Streek quickly added a third before substitute Can Bozdogan sealed a comfortable victory with a strike from distance.

Utrecht goes into the World Cup break in 7th while Volendam are rock bottom.
