Struggling NAC Breda came away from Utrecht with a point after a 2-2 draw in the Stadion Galgenwaard.

NAC went into the game on the back of three straight losses and on 18 minutes, Willem Janssen netted from a corner to put Utrecht ahead and it appeared the visitors were heading for another defeat.

However, three minutes later NAC equalised through Mounir El Allouchi, who finished well after being played in on goal by Thierry Ambrose.

Utrecht dominated after the equaliser, but Cyriel Dessers hit the post before Janssen was denied a penalty after going down in the box. Three minutes into the second half, NAC stunned the hosts when Ambrose found Giovanni Korte at the back post, and David Jensen was unable to keep out the winger’s strike.

The hosts pushed for an equaliser which they eventually found on 78 minutes when Zakaria Labyad went on a terrific run before picking out Nick Venema to fire into the net. The last ten minutes were chaotic and NAC nearly snatched the win at the death but Mark van der Maarel was prevented from netting an own-goal by the post.

Utrecht sit 9th after the draw while NAC are second bottom.
