Utrecht have announced the signing of Issah Abass on a season-long loan deal from Bundesliga side Mainz 05.

Utrecht announced the signing of PSV midfielder Justin Lonwijk on Wednesday and they now have their second new recruit of the summer.
Mainz winger Issah Abass has joined the club on a season-long loan deal.
Utrecht Director of Soccer Affairs Jordy Zuidam told the club’s website, “Issah can handle any position at the front. He has a lot of speed and brings a lot of energy to the games. Issah has a great competitive mentality and fits perfectly with our club. We are very happy that we can rent Issah for one year.”
Mainz paid Olimpija Ljubljana €2 million for the 20-year-old winger last summer but he only made one appearance in the Bundesliga.
