Utrecht have confirmed the signing of centre-back Lamine Sane on a deal until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old was a free agent after leaving Orlando City and has signed a short-term deal in Utrecht.

Utrecht technical director Jordy Zuidam told the club’s website, “By signing Lamine, we add an extra option to our rear-guard with a good deal of experience. Lamine is tall and strong. He is strong in the duels one-on-one, has good speed and remains calm under pressure.”

Sane, who has 31 caps for Senegal, has previously played for Bordeaux, and Werder Bremen.
