The Danish left back was a free agent after his contract with NEC expired, and despite the transfer window shutting on Monday, Utrecht have swooped to sign Conboy on a two-year-deal.
Utrecht technical director Erik ten Hag told the club’s official website, “Kevin is a player who fits the profile of an FC Utrecht defender,”
“He is always leading the fight, showing initiative, taking the lead. Kevin play’s football very, very offensive and has the right attitude and mentality.”
Conboy joined NEC in 2011, and made over 115 league appearances for the club, scoring eight times. He has one cap for the Danish national team.
