The Polish midfielder left FC Twente for Leeds in the summer but he hasn’t been able to make an impact in England, with the 27-year-old only appearing in five Championship matches.

Klich has now returned to the Eredivisie, joining FC Utrecht on loan until the end of the season.

Utrecht director of football affairs Jordy Zuidam told the club’s website, “We are convinced that Mateusz will provide our selection with an extra quality impulse. He has shown to be a player who can make a difference in the Eredivisie.”

As well as FC Twente, Klich has played for PEC Zwolle in the past and made 72 Eredivisie appearances in total.
