Dutch centre-back Joost van Aken has left Sheffield Wednesday to join 2.Bundesliga club VFL Osnabruck on a season-long loan deal.

The 25-year-old has struggled with injuries since joining Sheffield Wednesday from Heerenveen in 2017 for around €3 million.
Last season, the centre-back only made one appearance in the English Championship and was deemed surplus to requirements.
Van Aken has now departed Sheffield Wednesday to join German second division club VFL Osnabruck on a season-long loan deal.
