Marco van Basten has not been fired by Fox Sports after making a Nazi salute on air last Saturday.

On Saturday, Van Basten was overheard saying the Nazi salute ‘Sieg Heil’ when Hans Kraay junior completed an interview conducted in German with Heracles coach Frank Wormuth.
Van Basten apologised for the joke and he has now been suspended for a week by Fox Sports. He will return to his duties as an analyst on the 7th of December.
A statement from Fox Sports read, “Van Basten did not want to hurt anyone deliberately, apologised and accepted the consequences,”
Van Basten has also donated his fee for working on the show to Netherlands Institute for War Documentation.
