According to BILD, Mark van Bommel is a leading candidate to take over at Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.

On Tuesday, Jürgen Klinsmann surprised Hertha Berlin by resigning after only ten weeks in charge of the German side.

According to BILD, Mark van Bommel is seriously being considered by Hertha’s hierarchy, although it is not clear whether he has been approached yet.

The 42-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by PSV earlier this season. He was in charge of the Eindhoven club for a year-and-a-half.

Bruno Labbadia and Roger Schmidt are also being considered by Hertha.
