The coach’s current contract only lasted until the summer but after talks with technical director Martin van Geel, van Bronckhorst has now agreed to extend it for another two years.
Van Bronckhorst told the club’s official site, “It’s clear that I’m really enjoying myself at Feyenoord. The club as a whole but also as a staff and team have made steps forward and I see plenty of opportunities to develop us. If it appears that all parties are satisfied, of course, it is obvious to also continue after this season. ”
The 41-year-old took charge of Feyenoord last season and guided them to third place in his first year. The club currently sit top of the Eredivisie this season after an excellent start, while they still have a chance of progression in the Europa League.
