Van Bronckhorst stated that despite a difficult start to their season, PSV are a good team and will challenge Feyenoord for the Eredivisie title.

He said, ”It is premature to suggest that we are way ahead of PSV Eindhoven. The gap is still only 3 points. PSV Eindhoven have also had to deal with the disappointment of being eliminated from the Europa League this season.

”PSV Eindhoven are still a really good team and although they played a sluggish match against SC Heerenveen they still have enough quality to become champions of the Eredivisie this season.

”We won this game last season in Eindhoven having defeating Manchester United at home in the Europa League the Thursday before and that gave us confidence.

”We knew after winning that match in Eindhoven that it was possible for us to achieve something and we kept hold of that belief throughout last season.”
