Van Bronckhorst spoke in his press conference in the run-up to Sunday’s game against ADO Den Haag. He claims that the current league leaders who have obtained 12 points from 4 games are fully focused on winning their league game and that he believes his squad will be able to cope on three fronts this season starting with a busy fixture schedule with 7 games in 3 weeks.
He said, ” We spoke as a group this morning about what is needed in the upcoming busy fixture schedule both domestically and in Europe and how we need to approach it. A lot of games with not much rest in between so we need to eat and rest well to attempt to achieve the maximum level in every game starting with ADO Den Haag on Sunday.
”I believe that my squad can play 3 games a week. The players have worked hard to get themselves ready for such a fixture schedule of 7 games in 3 weeks and we will need to utilize the depth of our squad and everybody is fit to play.
”I expect to utilize my squad during this period as the next game is always the most important one and we will always evaluate how the squad is doing every game . Nobody will be rested for the game against Manchester United on Thursday.
”Every week is a test and we have already won 4 games so far this season and we want to make that a 5th victory on Sunday against ADO Den Haag who are a team that have started the season well. I have full confidence in the way that my team has approached all our games so far this season and we want to continue the rich vein of form that we are in.”
