Former Netherlands international Bryan Roy believes Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek would fit in perfectly at Juventus.

The 23-year-old is being heavily linked with a move away from Ajax this summer with Real Madrid and Manchester United said to be the favourites to sign him.

However, Juventus are also interested and former Ajax star Bryan Roy believes he would fit in well at the Turin giants.

He told TuttoJuve, “Donny would fit perfectly in the midfield of Juventus and Italian football in general. He is one of the boys of the golden generation at Ajax. I know him well, because Donny was on my team with Matthijs de Ligt.

“Van de Beek has always been physically devastating. At a young age he already knew how to attack and defend. He was very shy, but that disappeared on the field.

“I think he is a total player and see him playing together with Miralem Pjanic and Rodrigo Bentancur.

“If he leaves Ajax, I think Van de Beek would do well in Italy. I know, because I was happy in Serie A myself.”

Roy played for Foggia at one point during his career.
