Van de Looi has decided to not renew his expiring contract in Tilburg and will leave the club, that he took charge of in 2016, at the end of the season.
He told the Willem II website, “After I made my decision about my future, I informed the club. This gives clarity for everyone. Willem II gets all the time to focus on my succession and we can put all the energy into sporting successes.”
The 45-year-old began his coaching career with Groningen and spent three years at the Euroborg before departing at the end of the 2015/16 season. He then took over at Willem II and guided them to 13th in the Eredivisie last season.
