Sepp van den Berg showed signs of life by scoring in Liverpool’s U23’s 2-1 loss to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Van den Berg missed Liverpool’s last U23 clash due to injury but returned to the starting line-up for the clash with Blackburn Rovers.

Van den Berg fired Liverpool ahead in the first half after reacting quickly to a corner. It was his first official goal since joining Liverpool from PEC Zwolle two years ago.

Van den Berg played the full game but could not prevent Blackburn from coming back and winning 2-1.

The 18-year-old is not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans this season, despite a number of injuries in the Liverpool backline.
