Voetbal International are reporting that Fenerbahce outcast Gregory van der Wiel is set to sign for Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.

The right-back fell out with Fenerbahce coach Dick Advocaat last month and was told to find a new club, despite only moving to Turkey in the summer.
The 28-year-old was present at Al Wahda’s match with Al Jazira on Wednesday and afterwards had negotiations with the club. Van der Wiel is set to sign a one-and-a-half year contract.
The former Ajax star joined Fenerbahce from PSG in the summer, but only made six appearances in Istanbul.
