Jurgen Klopp’s side went into the game 22 points ahead of Manchester City and only two wins away from sealing the title. Virgil van Dijk started for Liverpool, while Georginio Wijnaldum was on the bench.
Without Mohamed Salah, who was also on the bench, Liverpool struggled to create clear cut chances in the first-half, with Takah Minamino putting their best chance wide.
Wijnaldum appeared from the bench in the second half, but he could not inspire Liverpool to a victory, and it was actually Everton who went closest to a win. Tom Davies, however, saw his strike come back off the post.
A clean sheet for Van Dijk, but Liverpool must now wait for the chance to seal the title. They can do it on Wednesday if they beat Crystal Palace, but only if Burnley beats Manchester City on Monday.
