Liverpool is so close to sealing the Premier League title after a comfortable 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Both Georginio Wijnaldum and Virgil van Dijk started in an empty Anfield as Liverpool went in search of the victory that could seal the title, should Manchester City fail to beat Chelsea on Thursday.

By half-time, Liverpool were already 2-0 ahead against a Crystal Palace side that had Patrick van Aanholt in the starting line-up. Trent Alexander-Arnold made it 1-0 with an excellent free-kick before Mohamed Salah added a second just before the break.

In the second half, Fabinho and Sadio Mane both netted to seal a comfortable 4-0 victory. Liverpool must now wait for Thursday’s result before they can start celebrating. If the result does not go their way, Liverpool’s next clash is against Manchester City on the 2nd of July.

Both Wijnaldum and Van Dijk played the full ninety minutes, while Jairo Riedewald appeared from the bench for Crystal Palace.
