Since joining Celtic from Groningen in the summer for around €3 million, Virgil van Dijk has put in a number of outstanding performances in the Scottish Premier League.
This has not gone unnoticed by clubs in England, and rumours earlier this year stated Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City were all watching the £10 million rated centre back.
However, Van Dijk, who is under contract until 2017, has dismissed these rumours, claiming he knows nothing about them and is focused on next season with Celtic.
Van Dijk told Sky Sports, “I don’t know anything about it. First of all I have a contract until 2017 I think, so I don’t have to move, and I think the Champions League is always a big thing for every player. I want to play Champions League.”
“We disappointed this season in the cup and the Champions League and we want to do much better next year. That’s what I want as well.”
