Virgil van Dijk has no plans to leave Liverpool FC and is hoping to become a legend at the club.

The Netherlands captain joined Liverpool from Southampton back in 2018 and has since lifted the Champions League trophy and is aiming for the Premier League title this season.

Speaking to Diario Sport, Van Dijk was asked how he wanted to be remembered and the 28-year-old was clear, “As a Liverpool legend.

“I want to achieve incredible things here. We have a great team, nothing is missing at all. We have all the means to keep winning.

“We have a manager with whom we identify, a versatile selection, a way of playing that is very successful and the stadium and fans also have their part. Yes, I would like to be one of those players who return to Anfield after their careers. I see the legends at home games and feel part of a very big family.”
