The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League constantly over the past few months after putting in a number of impressive appearances for SPL champions Celtic. With Arsenal reportedly keen on signing a centre back in January, they have become the latest club to be linked to the former Groningen star, who will reportedly cost £10 million.
Speaking to Sky Sports yesterday, Van Dijk stated he was happy with Celtic, but also admitted he has ambitions to play in the Premier League.
Van Dijk said, “Arsenal are an amazing club,”
“It’s a big club with a great history but so are Celtic and I’m very happy here just now. I just want to play well and we will see what happens in the future. There are stories but until there are bids I can’t say anything.”
“I have ambitions but Celtic is an amazing club with a lot of history. There is no rush to leave but you never know in the future.”
