Van Duinen signed a four-year-contract with the Bundesliga 2 side on Friday after ADO Den Haag accepted an undisclosed fee for the 23-year-old. The striker is signed as a replacement for Dutchman Charlison Benschop, who joined Hannover 96 earlier this summer.
Van Duinen said on the deal, “I am very happy with this transfer,”
“Fortuna Dusseldorf is a very big club in Germany with ambitious plans. Second Bundesliga is a great competition. Of course it will take getting used to, because ADO was my club where i knew everything and everyone. But I’m really looking forward to this new adventure. ”
In 115 Eredivisie appearances Van Duinen scored 27 goals.
