Louis van Gaal is irritated that a number of Eredivisie club’s do not want to play out the rest of the season.

Ajax director Marc Overmars was the first to call for the campaign to be called off on Wednesday before AZ Alkmaar and PSV Eindhoven followed suit, along with some clubs at the bottom of the table, including ADO Den Haag.

Speaking to AD, Van Gaal blasted those clubs, “Who doesn’t want to play out? Go see: The clubs that are now in a European position, with the exception of Feyenoord, and clubs in the relegation zone.

“They misuse the corona crisis for their own gain, and then make it a public health statement; I’m a man who can’t take that. “

The Eredivisie clubs are meeting on Tuesday with the KNVB to discuss plans and Van Gaal doesn’t see any excuses for not completing the season if it’s deemed safe, “There is plenty of time this summer now that the European Championship has been moved. And if UEFA and FIFA are willing to change rules and offer space: well, then get started. ”
