Manchester United v Everton - Premier LeagueThe Italian giants are on the lookout for a new head coach after sacking Sinisa Mihajlovic in April and according to Gazetta Dello Sport, Louis van Gaal and Frank de Boer are on AC Milan’s shortlist of potential new managers.

Van Gaal was sacked by Manchester United at the end of the season and was set to retire, but he could be tempted into one last job in a country he is yet to manage in. The 64-year-old has won trophies in Germany, Spain, England and Netherlands, but has never coached in Italy, and could see AC Milan as a perfect last challenge.

De Boer left Ajax at the end of the season and has already been linked with a number of positions. Anderlecht and Lazio have failed to lure the Dutchman, while he is still said to be in the running for Southampton.

Another name on the shortlist is former Tottenham and Zenit boss Andre Villas-Boas
