Van Gaal was sacked as Manchester United boss at the end of last season and reportedly made an attempt to return to coaching with Belgium, who dismissed Marc Wilmots after Euro 2016.
However, according to the Daily Mail the Belgian FA were unimpressed with the experienced Dutchman’s application which they found “draining and exhausting.”
Belgium instead chose Roberto Martinez, who lost his first game in charge against Spain earlier this week.
…we lose to Sweden, Blind steps down and LvG returns.. not what I want buy I see it happening.
Hahaha Belgians are so stupid. They chose Martinez over King LVG! Hope King Louis returns to coach Oranje
