Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal refused to comment on the speculation that he had turned down a role as technical director with the KNVB.

The KNVB were hoping to persuade the under-fire United boss to return to the Dutch national team as a technical director, but according to AD he refused the position. Van Gaal still has one year left on his contract at Old Trafford and intends to see it out.
When asked about what he discussed with the KNVB, van Gaal told his press conference, “I don’t want to respond to these kind of questions. What I discuss with the federation it has to be between the federation and me.
“It’s the same thing that I don’t answer the questions about my discussions with the board of Manchester United.”
