PSV have made no secret of the fact that they want to bring Van Ginkel back to the club this summer, and the 24-year-old is also said to be keen on returning to Eindhoven, where he has had two six-month loan spells over the last two seasons.
According to ED, Chelsea have told the midfielder that he is not part of their plans for next season, but still see potential in the Dutch international, which may allow PSV to agree another loan deal.
A permanent move is also being discussed and PSV may try and strike a deal with Chelsea similar to the one they had for Jeffrey Bruma. The defender joined PSV from Chelsea, but when he was then sold to Wolfsburg the London club got 40% of the transfer fee.
With no move agreed yet, Van Ginkel will return to training with Chelsea on Monday.
