Van Ginkel spent six months on loan in Eindhoven last season, scoring eight goals in sixteen games, and was due to return in the summer but had to undergo knee surgery in the summer. The 23-year-old only returned to action earlier this week in Chelsea U23’s draw with Everton.
Speaking to VI, Van Ginkel was asked about a return to PSV in January and responded, “Whether that’s on the agenda, I don’t know.
“PSV have quite a lot of midfielders at the moment and at the moment I am not thinking about the winter window. I first want to be completely fit again.
“Of course I would be lying that I have forgotten about it; it was a great half-a-season for me and PSV.”
