Heerenveen has confirmed the signing of Bologna striker Sydney van Hooijdonk on a season-long loan deal.

Heerenveen signed the striker on a six-month loan deal from last January to the summer, with Van Hooijdonk going on to net seven times.
The Frisians have now brought the 22-year-old back to the club on another loan deal, with no option to make it permanent.
Van Hooijdonk is the fifth summer signing for Heerenveen after Andries Noppert, Mats Kohlert, Alex Timossia and Hussein Ali.
