Robin van Persie seems set for a spell on the sidelines after being pictured leaving Swansea City’s stadium on crutches.

The Dutchman played the ninety minutes of Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea City but did look uncomfortable after going down clutching his ankle late on. Since Van Gaal had used all three substitutions, the 31 year old continued on.
After the game, Van Persie has been pictured leaving the stadium on crutches (below) with a protective boot on his right foot. The Netherlands captain has been plagued by injuries recently, and it remains to be seen how long his latest setback will keep him out.
National team boss Guus Hiddink will be anxious with the crucial Euro qualifier against Turkey just over a month away.
