The veteran striker, who scored the winning goal during the game, stabbed his tongue out at the Besiktas fans, while also provoking opponents Dusko Tosic and Oğuzhan özyakup in an ill-tempered match.
The Turkish football association have now acted by banning van Persie for three matches and fining him €5000.
Van Persie will be unavailable for Fenerbahce’s ties against Bursaspor, Kasimpasa and Gaziantepspor.
