According to the Mirror Qatari side Lekhwiya, who are coached by former Ajax star Michael Laudrup, are ready to offer the Dutch forward a three-year-deal worth £18 million to leave Old Trafford.
Van Persie has struggled to find his form this season, scoring ten goals in 29 appearances, and the 31-year-old is yet to be offered a new deal to stay at Old Trafford, despite his current contract coming into its final year.
Coach Louis van Gaal told press that they would have to, “Wait and see” if Van Persie would be at the club next season, but it is looking more and more likely that the Netherlands captain will be heading for the exit.
Lekhwiya wont be the only club to try and tempt Van Persie this summer, with Italian giants Juventus and Roma, along with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray all reportedly interested in the striker.
