Van Persie endured a frustrating evening in front of goal on Tuesday and was seen shaking his head when he was brought off after 77 minutes.
After the game the Dutch striker reportedly told Fanatik, “The club has paid a lot of money for me and I want to help the team. But I can not do my best if I get changed every match,”
“Because of this I am an inefficient player. We need to find an urgent solution to this.”
Van Persie has scored 14 goals in 32 games this season, but has only completed 90 minutes on six occasions.
I know I said I was done commenting but I think RVP mad a mistake in going to Turkey. It has worked for Sneider and Kuyt but Sneijder was younger and Kuyt is a working machine. I have not seen him play for Fenerbace but 14 goals is not bad considering his play time. Maybe the coaches think he is slacking in practice. Some players are gamers only and practice is a chore. Players like Kuyt always work their tails off. He is a player that wants to play so I say go back to Holland and play and inspire some young players. I always respect those that go back to their Homeland to retire in their final years. RVP if you want to play leave. It won’t change you are getting older and its a business and they don’t care what you think. Go home and have fun and play 3-4 more years and help the up and comers. Give back…
Too much talk and too little return from RVP as always.
