After a tumultuous few seasons, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel is enjoying his renaissance back in Arnhem, but the former Norwich City striker sees a future past Vitesse.
Speaking to Voetbal International the striker twice capped by the Netherlands gave his thoughts on the present and the future, “I am enjoying myself at Vitesse and feel needed by the club which means I can show the real me.“
The 27 year old continued “I went back to Vitesse to regain the pleasure of playing every week and I am doing this.” On his future Van Wolfswinkel said “I’ve seen a lot of Europe, but at the same time I am only 27 years old. I am still ambitious but I do not know what the future will bring. But Vitesse will not be my final destination.”
On the current form of Vitesse he knows there is room for improvement “We can do much better and are determined to show this in the coming months.”
Van Wolfswinkel has scored nine goals so far this campaign and will be looking to add to his tally as Vitesse host AZ this weekend.
