Ricky van Wolfswinkel has been given the green light to return to action after being out since August with a brain aneurysm.

In August, the Dutch forward was linked with a move to Feyenoord, but that had to be ruled out when he was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
Two weeks after the diagnosis, the 31-year-old underwent successful surgery on the issue, but his career was called under question.
However, Basel announced in December that van Wolfswinkel had returned to training for light exercises. It has now been announced that the striker has no issues and can fully return to training and is available for a return to action.
Saturday’s game with FC Zurich may come too early for the forward, who is lacking match rhythm.
