A return to the Eredivisie for Lars Veldwijk is unlikely with the striker aiming for a second chance with Nottingham Forest.

The striker joined the English club in 2014 after a strong campaign with Excelsior, but was barely given a chance in Nottingham. Veldwijk returned to the Netherlands with PEC Zwolle in the summer and netted 14 goals in 33 Eredivisie matches.
A return to PEC Zwolle seems unlikely though with his agent telling Voetbal International that he is set to start the season with Nottingham Forest.
Wessel Weezenberg said, “He will probably just start the season at Nottingham. A loan is virtually impossible because his contract runs only a year. Moreover, much has changed at Nottingham, there is a new coach. ”
However, a transfer will be on the cards if Veldwijk finds himself once again on the bench, “If that is happening again, we actively search for a good solution for Lars. But Lars comes back after a year in the Eredivisie different than when he arrived on a free transfer from Excelsior, which played back in the Jupiler League.”
