Giovanni van Bronckhorst has decided that Brad Jones will remain his number one goalkeeper going into the second half of the campaign. This has angered Kenneth Vermeer and the 32-year-old has now decided that he must leave De Kuip.
Vermeer has told De Telegraaf that he wants to meet with the club’s management in the next 24 hours, “I came to Feyenoord to play and not to sit on the bench. We have to talk to the trainer and the club management.
“It is not the intention to sit on the bench for another two years. I do not have the age to be a reserve now. ”
Vermeer is likely to leave the club on loan for the next six months and then decide on his future in the summer.
