In the previous season, Fischer made 28 league appearances, but most of those came from the bench.

Now speaking to Danish newspaper Tipsbladet, the winger has stated that he expects to leave Ajax this season as he looks to prove himself elsewhere.

He said, “I’m ready to prove myself again, but probably somewhere else. I think that it is a mutual desire.”

Fischer is willing to wait until Ajax appoint a new coach, following Frank de Boer’s exit, “We still have something to talk about. There is also a new coach, and maybe something will change on the matter.”
