Tonny Vilhena has departed Russian side Krasnodar on a permanent move to Spanish side Espanyol.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined Espanyol on loan last January but the deal had the option to make it permanent. Espanyol have decided to lift that option.

The former Feyenoord star had been with Krasnodar since 2019 but now departs the Russians after 79 appearances for the club.

The Netherlands international made 17 appearances during his loan spell at Espanyol last season, contributing one goal and one assist.
