In demand AZ Alkmaar striker Vincent Janssen has opened up about his future whilst on international duty with the Netherlands squad.

The 21 year old achieved notoriety after scoring 27 goals in 34 games this season to become the leading marksman in the Netherlands. Clubs such as Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool have been linked with Janssen, along with the big three in the Netherlands, PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord.
Speaking to NOS, Janssen discussed a possible move this summer and stated he would not be phased by a move abroad.
Janssen said, ” I am constantly asked about my future and at the moment I am on international duty with the Dutch national team so I want to concentrate on that and the 3 games we have coming up.
”After the national teams games I am sure that AZ Alkmaar will let me know if there is any interest from clubs abroad or in the Netherlands. When the season has finished only then can you reflect and look back at how it has gone and make the best decision for the future.
” I have made AZ aware of my intentions and as regards to any potential transfer the most important thing is the club. As I say I wish to show no disrespect to AZ by discussing my future whilst on international duty. People can speculate in terms on potential suitors but they forget about the many factors in a transfer such as an agreement between the clubs for example.
”I can only say that I am not phased by any potential transfer and the next step in my career. I went from Almere City to AZ and that was a big step and then within 9 months I received an international call up so as far as I am concerned I will not phased by the next step.
”I am happy playing for AZ at the moment. There may well be scouts from different club present at the game against Ireland but I just want to play my own game and ensure that we win. Scoring at Wembley in the victory over England such moments give you confidence and serve as motivation in terms of giving even more in future matches.”
