From the start De Graafschap were on the back-foot and after six minutes Guram Kashia headed in Lewis Baker’s corner to give Vitesse the lead.
Dominik Solanke was handed his first Vitesse start since joining on loan from Chelsea, and on 20 minutes the striker set up the second goal with a lovely flick into the path of Valeri Qazaishvili, who’s shot just beat Hidde Jurjus.
De Graafschap nearly got back into the game early in the second half but Eloy Room made an acrobatic save to deny Cas Peter’s his first goal of the season. On 73 minutes any hope for the visitors was extinguished as Milot Raschica took advantage of a mistake by Robin Propper before racing in on goal and slotting past Jurjus.
Vitesse climb to 6th with the win, while De Graafschap await their first point of the season.
