havenaar aThe home side started poorly, and RKC had the lead on 14 minutes when Kenny Anderson broke through the centre of the defence before calmly finishing past Piet Velthuizen.

Vitesse went looking for the equaliser, but it wasn’t until the 50th minute that they drew level through Mike Havenaar’s sliding finish.

Two minutes later the game completely turned on its head as half time substitute Valeri Qazaishvili curled a superb effort into the bottom corner from just outside the box to make it 2-1 for Vitesse.

The three points were then sealed on 68 minutes as Christian Atsu fired a low drive into the bottom corner after the ball fell at his feet at the back post.

The win moves Vitesse up to 3rd above Feyenoord who play later on Sunday, but they remain eight points behind leaders Ajax. RKC now sit in the bottom three in 16th after Utrecht overtook them earlier.
