Vitesse and Feyenoord played out an entertaining 0-0 draw in Arnhem on Sunday.

For the first time since Leonid Slutsky left Vitesse, interim trainer Joseph Oosting was in the dugout. He opted to drop Keisuke Honda to the bench.

Oosting saw as his side were given the perfect opportunity to take the lead in the 11th minute. Nick Marsman was punished for a push on Riechedly Bazoer and a penalty was awarded. However, Marsman denied Tim Matavz. The referee seemed to indicate the spot-kick was to be retaken but VAR overruled.

Bazoer then struck the bar for the hosts, while at the other end, Steven Berghuis found the side netting, while Jens Toornstra was also denied by the woodwork with a free-kick.

In the second half, Feyenoord had the better chances but Orkun Kokcu hit the bar while Luis Sinisterra had a goal chalked off for offside.

The game ended goalless, meaning Feyenoord are now 8th with Vitesse one spot below them.
