Vitesse Arnhem have confirmed the arrival of free agent Alexander Buttner.

The left-back has been a free agent since last month when his contract with Russian side Dynamo Moscow was dissolved and has been in talks with his former side Vitesse since.
On Monday, Vitesse finally confirmed the signing of the 27-year-old on a contract until 2019. Buttner told the club’s official site, “I have a very good feeling to be back at the old nest and can not wait to get started.”
Buttner played for Vitesse between 2008 and 2012 before leaving to join Manchester United. After two years in England he joined Dinamo Moscow, but his time in Russia was not a success and he spent part of last season on loan with Anderlecht.
