dost bThe Dutchman, 24 signed for Bundesliga side VFL Wolfsburg back in 2011-12 from Heerenveen on the back of a sterling season when he scored 32 goals.

However, Dost has largely had a frustrating time in Germany having only scored 9 goals in 33 league appearances and only returned to action recently after two and a half months out with an ankle problem.

A move back to his homeland could entice him with the World Cup looming, and AD are reporting that Vitesse are keen on a January move.

After the departure of Jonathan Reis whose contract was terminated Mike Havenaar is the only recognized striker at the disposal of Manager Peter Bosz who would be looking to bringing a striker to push for the title after having finished fourth last season.

Vitesse, who currently sit on 37 points the same as league leaders Ajax could consider a loan move too if they fail to price him away from Wolfsburg.
