The incident occurred after Vitesse hammered Feyenoord 4-1 on Monday evening, with Kazim-Richards reportedly hunting down Labyad in the tunnel before striking the Moroccan in the face.
On the attack Labyad told Fox Sports,” He gave me a slap in the players’ tunnel. On the field, we had words. Once inside he kept looking for me. ”
Bystanders in the tunnel then witnessed the Turkish striker giving Labyad a headbutt.
Labyad continued,”When we walked in the tunnel he was waiting for me. He is apparently a big guy off the field, but in the field, a pussy. During the match he has showed no balls.”
“What I wanted to do in return? No, I wouldn’t make my hands dirty on a pussy. Anyway, there are also cameras in the tunnels and it’s good that it will have recorded the hit.”
The KNVB will surely now watch the recorded footage, and if Kazim-Richards is found guilty of striking Labyad, then the forward should expect a lengthy ban, which will impact Feyenoord at the start of next season.
