According to Voetbal International, Luc Castaignos is set to join Vitesse Arnhem from Sporting Lisbon.

The striker only joined Sporting from Eintracht Frankfurt last January in a €2.5 million deal, but has found it difficult to find game time in Portugal with Bas Dost preferred up front.

Castaignos has now chosen to return to the Netherlands with VI reporting that Portuguese sources have confirmed that the 24-year-old will join Vitesse. There is no firm indication on whether the deal is permanent or just a loan.

The former Feyenoord, Inter Milan and FC Twente forward will become Vitesse’s eleventh summer signing after Thomas Bruns, Thulani Serero, Fankaty Dabo, Tim Matavz, Bryan Linssen, Remko Pasveer, Charlie Colkett, Mikhtar Ali, Mason Mount and Matt Miazga.
